She may have been the underdog heading into Strikeforce on Saturday night, but Canadian Alexis Davis surely believed in her ability to beat Amanda Nunes.
Weathering an early storm from the Brazilian, Davis used her clinch work and ground game to tire Nunes out and finish her in the 2nd round.
Following the fight, Nunes spoke to MMAWeekly.com about the fight, how the victory came about, and her thoughts on getting the winner of Sarah Kaufman and Strikeforce champion Miesha Tate.

Former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Muhammed 'King Mo' Lawal knew he was going to beat Roger Gracie as soon as the ink hit the bout agreement. The always confident Lawal had to wait more than a year to finally get back in action, but when he did he made the most of it with a first round knockout of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ace. They were friends before the fight and they'll be friends after the fight, but Stefan Struve got the best of Pat Barry on Saturday night at UFC on Versus 6.
At the post fight press conference, Struve commented about how he slapped on the fight ending triangle choke, and even a powerbomb from Barry wasn't about the break the hold.
