Escaping the Reverse Sit position can be an absolute nightmare! The most important thing is realizing the difference between the Reverse Sit and the Back Step. I find that a lot of white and blue belts get these two positions confused and it can lead to problems escaping because they try to apply the wrong technique. You must control the belt in order to use this escape. This means that your arm is NOT trapped during the Reverse Sit. Either because you saw them moving into this position and removed it or they purposefully avoided the arm being trapped. If they trap the arm you're going to need to use another escape because you will not be able to stop them turning back into you. The elbow placement after you grab the belt is very important. Make sure that you reference the video for the details as I talk about them and how your elbow is supposed to be in line with the spine.
