Escaping North/South can be one of the most frustrating things in the world, especially against a skilled opponent. Throughout the remainder of my North/South instructional videos I will post a few escapes. This is the first one in a series. Although it is low percentage as demonstrated it can be VERY effective in forcing your opponent to create space and allow you to escape.

I start the series of escapes from North/South with a transitional escape to Turtle. This can be a fantastic escape that is very useful AND extremely easy as long as you have the correct timing and you bridge in the right direction.
