MMA H.E.A.T.'s Karyn Bryant sits down with the writers / producers Joseph McKelheer and Eben Kostbar and gets the story behind "The Hammer," a film based on the life of newly retired UFC fighter Matt Hamill. The film recounts how Matt, who was born completely deaf, went from high school wrestling star to professional MMA fighter thanks to the guidance and support his grandfather offered him. Joe and Eben let us know why they wanted to tell Matt's story, what the difficulties were and how the fighter felt when he first saw the film. They also address the challenges of making a movie that correctly represents the hearing-impaired community, and the surprise they got when Former UFC champ Rich Franklin showed up for work. ** To watch some full episodes of our 1/2 hour show go to: http://www.MMAheat.com/episodes/ ** Nós falamos Português! * We're on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/MMAheat * Follow MMAheat on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/MMAheat * Follow Karyn on Twitte
