There was some controversy leading up to Jim Miller's UFC Fight Night 80 bout with Michael Chiesa. Namely, their fight is the co-main event on the card, but instead of including Miller and Chiesa in promotional materials such as the Embedded series, the UFC opted to focus on rising star Sage Northcutt and his opponent, Cody Pfister.
Miller admits that publicity is a double-edged sword. It helps to increase a fighter's value, but it's also nice to not have the distraction of cameras around all the time. At the end of the day, however, he knows what type of fighter he is, what type of man he is, and realizes that's just not the type of fighter that gets a lot of push from the UFC.
