When striking from the standing position it is very important to understand how to set up you attacks. Without proper set-ups you can find yourself getting countered. The pendulum kick is a powerful way to set up your strikes and is often used in Muay Thai and K1 fights. I have worked many of the best fighters in the world and I have seen many great fighters who with this simple attack where able to control there opponent. The pendulum kick is the equivalent of the Jab in boxing a skill which takes years to master.
