Round one saw Chin sprawling out of a Polhamous takedown attempt and trying for a guillotine choke but Polhamous escaped, scrambled and in a transition set in a tight Omoplata shoulder lock. Chin escaped, the fighters scrambled again for position and worked their way to their feet with Chin scoring two knees to end the round. Round two went to the mat with Chin scoring with knees to the body then tking top position. However, off of his back Polhamous set in a triangle choke that he closed off for the win with the tapout coming at 1:01 of round two.
