Fight Nerd correspondant Syl Peterkin spoke with Andre Galvao, the winner of the 16-man one-night "Ultimate Absolute" grappling tournament in NYC this weekend. Galvao defeated Nolan Dutcher in the first round by armbar, then Antonio Neto after 15 minutes of action (10 minute round with a five-minute overtime), followed by Vinny Magalhaes by points after 10 minutes, and finally Rustam Chsiey after going the distance and battling in two overtime rounds! Galvao talks us through his bouts and tells us which was the toughest, and also gives us a heads up on what is next for his MMA career.
