The Head Scissor is an old school move. I have seen it multiple ways and depending on how you do this move can vary on the type of finish (choke, neck crank, face squeeze). It's important that you know the rule set that you're competing under before you try and use this move as some competitions will not allow it. This particular setup comes off of the North/South Kimura position that we have been working on in the previous videos. If you remember I really emphasize the shin over the bicep. watch video >>

UFC 157 was historically significant in more ways than one! Not only did we witness the first-ever women's UFC fight, but Ronda added yet another name to her long list of first-round armbar victims. On top of that, we witnessed the first-ever "Ham Ripper" in the UFC by Kenny Robert watch video >>

http://www.MMAWeekly.com/ -- Todd Duffee parted ways with the UFC in late 2010, amidst auspicious circumstances. UFC president Dana White, at the time, said that Duffee had an attitude problem and didn't seem to want to be in the Octagon. But time, and circumstances, he'll all wounds. Two and a half years later and Duffee stepped up when the UFC needed someone to fill a heavyweight hole against Phil DeFries at UFC 155. Not only did he step into the fight, so that DeFries could remain on the watch video >>

In this video I show a very simple stacking defense for the armbar. There are multiple different ways to defend but I enjoy showing this to beginners because it is a defense that you can use when you didn't see the setup for the armbar coming and your opponent already has their angle and their hips out.
