Copeland also caught a couple kicks by Beltran in the early going which seemed to stifle Beltran's game plan. Copeland grabbed a waist lock from behind as Beltran went to the mat. From there, Copeland scored with huge punches from on top of Beltran until the ref stopped the fight in a battle where the challenger was outmatched. To end the round Huber scored a slam and Johnson threatened with a guillotine until the bell ended the round. Round two had both fighters throwing probing strikes from the outside until Huber dropped Johnson with a punch. Huber followed with GNP and when Johnson tried to scramble to escape and Huber set in the fight ending, title winning RNC at 2:18 of round two.
