Ronda Rousey is on the verge of making history.

The Strikeforce women's bantamweight champion has fought her final fight for the promotion and is set to make her UFC debut in the near future, TMZ reported Thursday night. The Web site also reported that the recently announced Jan. 12 Strikeforce card in Oklahoma City will be the promotion's last.

MMAFighting.com confirmed with sources close to the promotion that both news items are in fact true and more information is expected to be released early next week.

It is unknown at this time when Rousey (6-0) and the rest of the Strikeforce women will make their debuts in the UFC, but it will most certainly happen at some point next year. Women have never fought inside the Octagon during the UFC's 19-year history.

As recently as earlier this year, UFC president Dana White was very hesitant to even consider forming a women's division in the UFC, but the emergence of Rousey has apparently changed his m watch video >>

The latest episode of Pistols and Predictions brings Strikeforce women's bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey to The Gun Store at 2900 East Tropicana Avenue in sunny Las Vegas with the sole purpose of firing off impressive weaponry and making predictions for this weekend's UFC on Fox 3 show (with a few of the fights from the Strikeforce HWGP Final card thrown in for good measure). As soon as we dropped off Ronda in the airport, the regret of not putting Ms. Rousey through multiple feats of strength using the impressive fulcrum that is her body in an attempt to destroy an AK-47 with her bare hands hit us. We bet she would have succeeded too. Oh well.So please, sit back, relax and decide if Ronda's predictions are as spot on as Dan Hardy's 5-1 (he would have been 6-0 but he couldn't pronounce Siyar The Killer's last name, true story) or as middlesome as Phil Baroni's 3-4 outing (we know you want to redeem yourself Phil). Enjoy Pistols and Predictions Episode 3. watch video >>
