In this video I show a great 2nd option for when your foot ends up on the wrong side of the bicep in the armbar position. This can be really frustrating as it can be difficult to continue maintaining the armbar position with both legs crowded over the head. This is a pretty common transition for intermediate and advanced grapplers. Make sure to check out the 1:30 mark to see how I do it a little more aggressively (by not waiting for my opponent to sit up) and with a different type of pressure. In the event they do sit up you can get your regular Triangle, I have just experienced people laying on the floor and refusing to come straight up because they know the triangle is a danger. watch video >>

In this video I show a really great choke. I enjoy this choke because it's easy to get, it's good against skilled opponents and, most importantly, when it goes poorly it leaves you in a dominate position. One of the most important aspects of this choke is in the wrist orientation. Make sure to watch the video to see how I turn my wrist to get a good choke. It is also important that your partner has body angle. This is the reason that this move is good against trained opponents. If your opponent stays flat on his/her back then you will have to use another technique. Make sure to reference the video as I talk about these two things in depth and include how to curl your calf into the back of the head. watch video >>
