MMA trainer and original coach of the Sityodtong Muay Thai gym in Massachusetts, Mark Dellagrotte, spoke to The Fight Nerd at THQ's preview party for the "UFC Personal Trainer" video game. Dellagrotte is featured in the game as one of the trainers, along with Greg Jackson and Javier Mendez, as well as UFC fighters like Rashad Evans, Forrest Griffin and Urijah Faber to name a few. Dellagrotte spoke about the development process, what it was like seeing himself in a game, and if he thinks this game actually works or not, and if so, on what level. We also spoke about Kurt Pellegrino's match at UFC 128, which Kenny Florian cornered him at, and told us whether he did or did not agree with the decision the judges made in that bout. Stay tuned for part two of our interview with Dellagrotte next week where we talk about Kenny Florian, Frank Mir, Jorge Rivera and more MMA goodness. watch video >>

The Old School MMA Review returns with a huge milestone from the SEG UFC era - the Ultimate Ultimate '96! Bringing you the best of the best (or whoever was available) from the past events, this epic tournament (also known as UFC 11.5) took place on December 7, 1996 in Alabama, and marked the end of an era for the company, as this event was their final one-night eight-man tournament. After watching this event, the reasons for doing this became painfully obvious. Featuring the return of stars like Ken Shamrock, Don Frye, Gary Goodridge, and Tank Abbott, along with Kimo Leopoldo, Brian Johnston, Cal Worsham, and Paul Varelans, this show is a high point in terms of talent, but matchmaking... well, you will see. Huge slams, big brawls, high emotions, and more in this opening round of the tournament and the first part of our review! Don't forg watch video >>
