Mexico City was promised a UFC heavyweight championship match between Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum at UFC 180, but an injury prevented that from happening. Signs currently point to the UFC targeting the matchup back in the Mexico capital for the summer of 2015. The UFC has released its tentative event schedule for 2015, which sees roughly the same amount of shows as their 2014 total. Today in Las Vegas the UFC unveiled its full schedule of events for 2015, and all signs point to "more of the same" as far as number of cards.
