Chris Leben is excited to get back to work. Ten
months after a suspension for illicit painkillers benched him, the
middleweight division has changed, and he wants back in the mix.
"I know that with where I'm at and what I need to do, that my real goal
is to go out and make a statement," Leben told MMAjunkie.com Radio.
Karlos Vemola is not Leben's ideal opponent, but a necessary step on the way to bigger opponents.

Dana White said recently he's pulling for Chris Leben when the suspended middleweight returns. Now that return has a date.
Leben, whose suspension will be lifted in November, will face Karlos Vemola at the UFC's year-end show, UFC 155. UFC officials on Wednesday announced the fight booking.

An undisclosed injury has forced light heavyweight Karlos Vemola to withdraw from a fight against Luiz Cane at UFC 128.
Sources close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com that a search is underway for a replacement opponent.
UFC 128 takes place March 19 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., and the main card airs on pay-per-view. Vemola vs. Cane was one of two bouts scheduled for the night's "UFC Prelims" special on Spike TV.
