Despite the persistent "Rocky" storylines heading into Saturday's UFC 153 event, the night's headliner played out like so many folks predicted: UFC middleweight Anderson Silva shut down heavy underdog Stephan Bonnar.
Silva's 16th consecutive UFC win followed another big victory for his countryman, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, who handled fellow heavyweight Dave Herman.

The UFC returns to Brazil this week for UFC 153, featuring a light heavyweight bout between Anderson Silva and Stephan Bonnar.
The event takes place Saturday at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro. Silva is a 14-to-1 favorite over Bonnar, a regular fan favorite - though he'll certainly need to work to get a pro-Silva crowd on his side in Brazil.
