It seems like Nate Diaz's holdout (and missing weight) didn't do him many favors in terms of reported salary. Nate Diaz probably isn't very happy with his payday for his UFC on Fox 13 bout with Rafael dos Anjos. The popular lightweight staged a holdout of nearly a year looking for a bump in salary, but didn't get much of anything in return. Combine that with the fact that he missed weight by over four pounds and you get a $16,000 dollar salary for Diaz for the co-main event fight. Ouch. One othe read news >>

Spend it all in one place. By the time he actually ended up fighting Rafael dos Anjos, it probably cost Nate Diaz money to compete at UFC on FOX 13. It's supposed to be the other way around. It didn't help that Diaz coughed up a few grand after missing weight, but he wasn't exactly working with a monumental payout to begin with. In fact, the former division No. 1 contender walked away with some Ian Entwistle-type money. I guess that's what happens when you don't move the needle. Elsewhere on the read news >>

Nate Diaz sat out the better part of a year in protest of his UFC contract, and while he ultimately returned to fight Rafael dos Anjos at UFC on FOX 13, his holdout seems to have been in vain. Diaz earned just $16,000 for his co-main event loss to dos Anjos this past December, according to information released to MMAFighting.com by the Arizona Boxing and MMA Commission. Diaz was scheduled to earn a show/win split of $20,000/$20,000, according to commission records, however he forfeited 20-percen read news >>

At least one fighter on the UFC roster thinks that Jon Jones hasn't really been busted for cocaine. With the lack of actual punishment, surge in media coverage, and multiple error laden process, at least one fighter isn't buying Jon Jones' cocaine problem as being on the up and up. Unsurprisingly, that fighter is Nate Diaz. Diaz the Younger took to twitter recently, to voice his disbelief in the idea that Jon Jones' newfound controversy is actually legitimate. His main source of incredulity, a r read news >>

Nate Diaz has a rather unique take on the Jon Jones situation. The outspoken UFC lightweight tweeted early Wednesday morning that he doesn't believe Jones actually tested positive for cocaine and that it's all a UFC publicity stunt. Diaz accompanied the tweet with a screenshot of an MMAFighting.com article with quotes from UFC president Dana White that Jones should embrace being "the bad guy."
