The UFC’s next Fight Night card goes down on September 5 at Foxwoods Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut, and has the potential to be 2014’s best fight card on free TV. A middleweight battle between Gegard Mousasi and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza headlines the event, and Alistair Overeem will take on the returning “Big” Ben Rothwell in the co-main event. It’s no coincidence that the UFC chose this particular event to showcase so many great matchups. Just up the road at Mohegan Sun Arena, Bellator MMA will read news >>
Take a look at the September 20th UFC Fight Night show in Japan, featuring heavyweight sluggers Roy Nelsno and Mark Hunt in the main event. The UFC Fight Night card set for Saitama, Japan is finally complete. As was known long ago, Mark Hunt and Roy Nelson will be the main event of what should be a FOTY candidate. Ryan Bader and Ovince St. Preux headline the Fox Sports 1 card this weekend in Bangor, Maine. Long time no preview! How's life been treating you buddy? Well, I went to New Orleans for one of my best friend's wedding, and even had the pleasure of giving a best man speech. Needless to say, I was thankful there was no UFC last weekend otherwise I'd be blogging in the comments section of yahoo.com. But you didn't miss that epic press conference between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier right? I used to d read news >>

Andre Galvao will headline the Metamoris 4 card next Saturday in Los Angeles, but he has no idea who will be on the mat with him. Chael Sonnen has to deal with the Nevada Athletic Commission and his participation on the grappling match is in jeopardy, so Galvao, a two-time ADCC winner and multiple-time jiu-jitsu world champion, keeps training for any type of opponent. "I will be there, but I don’t know if Sonnen will fight," Galvao told MMAFighting.com on Wednesday. "I’m not absolutely sure yet. read news >>
A look at the September 5th UFC Fight Night on Fox Sports 1 in Ledyard, CY, which sees middleweight stalwarts Ronaldo Souza and Gegard Mousasi The last time Ronaldo Souza and Gegard Mousasi fought was in 2008 in Japan, where Mousasi knocked out Jacare with an upkick. Mike Goldberg wasn't present to yell out "watch for the upkick!", and with this rematch airing on Fox Sports 1 instead of the canceled UFC 176 PPV, Jacare is on his own as far as avoiding that outcome. This September 5th Fight Night read news >>

A look at the highly promising UFC 178 in Las Vegas on September 27th, where Jon Jones fights Daniel Cormier for the light heavyweight title. The last time the UFC tried putting Jon Jones in a Las Vegas main event in September, UFC 151 was canceled. Not just because Jon Jones didn't want to fight Chael Sonnen on a few day notice, but because the rest of the PPV was utterly devoid of names and relevant top 10 fights. I don't think they'll have a problem with that this time around, because it's lo read news >>
Conor McGregor and Diego Brandao headline a stacked card of one-sided fights for Dublin, Ireland July 19, 2014. Sweet. More fights. I can't wait. McGregor vs. Brandao is gonna be sweet! Well, if by 'sweet', you mean Brandao is gonna be ripped apart and his pieces will be mailed to every favela in Brazil, then yes. Ok so the main card is filled with hilariously one-sided matchups, but what about the undercard? It's a lot better. I like this event's main card because like the last event, we're gua read news >>
