A welterweight matchup between perennial contender Jon Fitch and
Brazilian submission ace Demian Maia is the latest addition to
February's UFC 156 event.
UFC officials today announced the new contest.
Featuring a featherweight title fight between current champ Jose Aldo
and former lightweight title holder Frankie Edgar, UFC 156 takes place
Feb. 2 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The evening's main
card airs on pay-per-view.

Demian Maia is just one week removed from his second straight win at welterweight, and he's already thinking about how to keep climbing the divisional ladder.
Maia this past Saturday at UFC 153 in his home country of Brazil made quick work of Rick Story, getting a first-round submission.
Now Maia has a pair of ideas on whom he'd like to fight next, and Nick Diaz or Jon Fitch sound like good options to him.

UFC officials today announced that fresh off his victory at The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale, Michael Bisping will meet fellow middleweight contender Demian Maia at the network-televised event.
