Heavyweights Gabriel Gonzaga and Geronimo Dos Santos are likely headed to UFC 153.
MMAjunkie.com today confirmed with sources close to the event that verbal agreements are in place for the bout. Brazilian website Tatame first reported the pairing.
UFC 153 takes place Oct. 13 at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro. The event's main card airs live on pay-per-view while preliminary-card fights air on FX.

Heavyweight Geronimo dos Santos has been forced out of next week's UFC 153 event in Rio de Janeiro.
UFC officials today announced the scratch but did not reveal the reason for his removal.
That leaves Gabriel Gonzaga without an opponent for
the card, but UFC officials did not announce whether a replacement
fighter would be sought on such short notice.

Two years after signing a contract with the UFC, Geronimo dos Santos is no longer on the UFC roster.
"Mondragon" signed with the promotion in 2012 to compete at the UFC 153 card in Rio de Janeiro against former title contender Gabriel Gonzaga, but he was removed from the card after his pre-fight medical exams indicated he had hepatitis B.
Two years have passed and the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) won’t clear him to compete yet, so he asked to be released from his UFC contract.
