UFC executives today officially announced the new matchup, which will be contested at a catchweight of 175 pounds.
Johnson steps in for an injured Pascal Krauss (and instead of Rich Attonito, who had briefly been linked to the contest).

Highly touted welterweight prospect Gunnar Nelson made quick work of the late replacement and choked out Johnson with a first-round rear-naked choke.
The preliminary-card bout was part of Saturday's UFC on FUEL TV 5 event at Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England. It streamed on Facebook prior to the FUEL TV-televised main card.

DaMarques Johnson, not Rich Attonito will meet Gunnar Nelson later this month at UFC on FUEL TVF 5, MMAjunkie.com today confirmed with sources close to the event.
As reported earlier today, Mjolnir fight team head Dean Nelson initially tweeted that Attonito had stepped in for injured welterweight Pascal Krauss.
Instead, it'll be Johnson who takes the short-notice opportunity.
