I think she's implying she wants to have kids. Also, that gives more than enough time for new stars to emerge, though they may not be as marketable as Rousey herself, they can keep the division going.
Women may be far behind the men in terms of depth of skill, talent, and definitely experience, and sure the fights generally aren't as "good," but there is something about including women that I think makes sense for a variety of reasons. They're marketable based on the fact that a lot of men find them sexually stimulating, but I think that it also adds something for female fans, and for female practitioners as well. Sure, women may be weaker than men, but pound-per-pound the differences are very slight, if they are there at all. The differences are more related to the lack of numbers of women in the sport, and that's largely determined by culture, not just genetics.
For the time being, women's mma is a bit of a side-show/ freak show, and yet it is a lot more than that as well. A variety of different types of male fans and female fans enjoy following and watching female fighters for a wide variety of reasons. The sport is better with women in it, because, in my opinion, just about anything and everything is better with women in it. Who cares if they're a long way away from being as good as male athletes?! I'd rather women be included as much as possible. That way it's easier to be a fan of mma and have a girlfriend who is also interested in it, and it's easier to train mma when your girlfriend trains mma, and it's easier to enjoy a friendship with a woman if she also likes the same things we like. Lastly, I don't know about you guys, but I like the idea of having a girlfriend who can defend herself reasonably well, and is in good shape.
