It would seem that there isn't really enough time for Silva to do a fight against Jones soon AND for him to do a fight against GSP, in part because it would make no sense for Silva to cut down to a lower than usual weight soon after or soon before going up to fight for the heavyweight title. Maybe the GSP fight would happen early spring and the Jones fight could happen in the fall? But of course if Silva loses to GSP, that would likely kill the chances of a Jones fight, so maybe they'll want to do the Jones fight first (because that's probably the biggest possible pay-per-view draw).

It would seem that logistically, it would be difficult and unlikely to actually get both fights to happen. At least if Silva loses to Jones, that wouldn't stop him from fighting GSP.

It still seems amazing to me that Silva is apparently considering the fight against Jones, considering what he said before, and considering he is actually getting old and would have a lot to lose from fighting Jones. It is no surprise that Jones would accept the challenge if it was at 205.
