Linton Vassell will put his Ultimate Challenge MMA light heavyweight title on the line against challenger Zelg Galesic in the main event of UCMMA 32. confirmed the booking Wednesday with Ultimate Challenge MMA official Harry Shoebridge. The event is expected to take place Feb. 2 at the Troxy in London.

A winner of five straight fights, Vassell captured the UCMMA light heavyweight belt this past February by submitting Lithuanian talent Aurelijus Kerpe at UCMMA 26 “The Real Deal.” The Brit then successfully defended his title for the first time in his most recent outing, finishing countryman Nick Chapman with a second-round rear-naked choke on Aug. 18.

Galesic, 33, is a veteran of Pride, Cage Rage, K-1 Hero’s and Dream competition, last competing for the Viacom-owned Bellator Fighting Championships. “Benkei” first made a run at Bellator’s Season 5 middleweight tournament, only to fall to hard-hitting Russian Alexander Shlemenko in the quarterfinals. The Croatian then entered Bellator’s 2012 Summer Series draw as a light heavyweight, again meeting his demise in the round of eight, this time courtesy of Attila Vegh.
