Energy drink company Xyience is currently running its XenArt art contest, accepting submission through Monday, Aug. 6, but the company has also announced that, aside from hosting the XenArt: The Energy of Art exhibit, UFC fighter Dan Hardy will be one of several MMA connections displaying their works at the exhibit.
On display will be work from Hardy, fellow UFC fighter Mac Danzig, Octagon girl Brittney Palmer, renowned sports photographer Eric Williams, sports celebrity sketch artist Evan Shoman, and MMA photographer Tracy Lee, and others.
Select pieces from the MMA artists will be a part of a silent auction benefiting the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC), a Las Vegas- based non-profit that provides a central venue for artists and the community to come together for education and to experience all varieties of artistic and cultural expression. Established in 1989, CAC is one of the most recognized institutions for cultivating the visual arts in the community.
The exhibition, XenArt: The Energy of Art, takes place on Friday, Aug. 31, at the Amanda Harris Gallery of Contemporary Art and The Lady Silvia in downtown Las Vegas. The red carpet event, hosted by Hardy, is by invitation from 7 to 10 p.m. PT, but free and open to the public at 10 p.m. PT.
