World Champion Boxer Holly Holm to Meet with UFC President Dana White this Weekend

A lot of casual mixed martial arts fans may not know who Holly Holm is, but they likely soon will. The former 18-time world champion boxer will soon be meeting with UFC president Dana White.

“I’m meeting with her this week,” White told media in Dallas for UFC 171 on Thursday.

Holm, who boasts a 33-2-3 professional boxing record, made the transition to MMA in 2011 and is undefeated with five of her six wins coming by knockout. She trains out of the Jackson-Winkeljohn gym in Albuquerque, N.M., alongside light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, welterweight contender Carlos Condit, lightweight Donald Cerrone, and many other notables.

Holm is scheduled to fight for the inaugural Legacy FC women’s bantamweight title against Juliana Werner on April 4. If signed by the UFC, she would enter the organization as an immediate contender to Ronda Rousey’s title.

It will be the first time White has met with Holm and her management team.

“I’m going to meet them this weekend and see what happens,” said White.
