While Title Shot Waits in the Wings, Lyoto Machida Focused on Gegard Mousasi, Not Belt (Video)

Much of the talk swirling around Lyoto Machida as he heads into his UFC Fight Night 36 main event fight with Gegard Mousasi has focused on the prospect of him getting a title shot should he win.

While everyone else seems focused on the title, Machida knows that can’t be where his focus lies. He’s got his sights trained squarely on Mousasi, and says he’s even added a few new wrinkles to his game that he plans to unveil in the fight.

If and when he gets past Mousasi, then Machida can shift his focus to the belt currently wrapped around Chris Weidman’s waist.
