WTF?

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was expected to send heavyweight slugger Mark Hunt into the headliner of its upcoming UFC Fight Night 52 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, scheduled for the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, on Sept. 20, 2014.

Which is kind of hard to do if Hunt is no longer with the promotion. The "Super Samoan" has been tweeting that he stranded Roy Nelson in "The Land of the Rising Sun" -- not by choice -- after suddenly becoming "unemployed" ... and "it sucks."

See for yourself:

Was Hunt cut? Not according to UFC President Dana White:

Weird.

Hunt (9-8-1) recently fought to a bloody draw against Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva at UFC Fight Night 33 last December in Australia. Prior to that, the 40-year-old kickboxing champion had his four-fight win streak snapped by Junior dos Santos at UFC 160.
