WSOF 4 set for Aug. 10 in Ontario, Calif., WSOF 5 in Atlantic City on Sept. 14

About a week out from its third event, World Series of Fighting has dates and locations for its fourth and fifth shows.

WSOF 4 will take place Aug. 10 at Citizens Bank Arena in Ontatio, Calif., and WSOF 5 is set for Sept. 14 in Atlantic City, N.J. WSOF President Ray Sefo announced the dates and locations during a Thursday conference call with media members.

An exact location was not announced for WSOF 5, though WSOF 2 in March took place at Revel Atlantic City.

Main-card broadcasts for both shows will be on NBC Sports Network.

The promotion’s third event, featuring a welterweight bout between Jon Fitch and Josh Burkman, takes place June 14 at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Preliminary-card fights for WSOF 3 can be seen via a live stream at MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com)

Although Sefo didn’t announce headliners for WSOF 4 or WSOF 5, he did say a pair of high-profile recent signings, Tyson Griffin and Nick Newell, are expected to be on those cards.

“Tyson Griffin 100 percent will be fighting in August,” Sefo said. “And Nick Newell will be on one of those two cards, as well.”

WSOF debuted this past November in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
