“Shamrock: Bound By Blood,” a one-hour documentary focused on MMA pioneer Frank Shamrock, debuts tonight on Spike TV, and it apparently includes a meeting with estranged adoptive brother Ken Shamrock.
Check out a video preview of the special, which airs at 11 p.m. ET/PT.
“Shamrock: Bound By Blood” covers Frank Shamrock’s successful fighting career. The 40-year-old is a former UFC, WEC and Strikeforce champion, current broadcaster and recent coach on the Bellator MMA reality series, “Fight Master.” Shamrock emerged as one of MMA’s earliest well-rounded competitors, and Mickey Rourke, Tito Ortiz, Ken Shamrock, Mauro Ranollo, Nick Diaz, Bas Rutten, John McCarthy, Javier Mendez and others make guest appearances and discuss his career.
The big selling point of the special, though, is the apparent meeting with Ken. The fighters, who were both adopted by Bob Shamrock, severed ties in 1998 after a falling out. Although they teased a possible reunion over the past decade, it appears it’ll finally happen during tonight’s special.
