Video: Watch UFC on FOX 13's Alistair Overeem TKO Brock Lesnar in 2011

Alistair Overeem is in the midst of a run that probably has had him thinking back on better times.

At 1-3 his past four fights with three knockout losses, Overeem is badly in need of a win this week at UFC on FOX 13, where he meets fellow heavyweight Stefan Struve. Most analysts would say Overeem hasn’t looked like the world-beater he was knock as in his Strikeforce days since late 2011.

That’s when he made his UFC debut at UFC 141 against former heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar in a title eliminator. And that’s when he dismantled Lesnar with vicious kicks and knees to the body in the first round.

Since then, he had a suspension for elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone levels that took him out of a title fight against then-champ Junior Dos Santos. And when he returned, he was knocked out by Antonio Silva and Travis Browne. He bounced back earlier this year with a decision win over Frank Mir, but in September he was knocked out by Ben Rothwell.

On Saturday, Overeem (37-14 MMA, 2-3 UFC) looks for a return to his dominant ways against Struve (25-6 MMA, 9-4 UFC). But before then, watch the last time he finished someone with his fight against Lesnar at UFC 141 above.

Then don’t miss UFC on FOX 13 on Saturday at U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix. The main card airs on FOX following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
