Joseph Duffy is largely promoted as the last man to defeat UFC sensation Conor McGregor, but he’s been thoroughly impressive in his first two bouts inside the octagon. Impressive enough, in fact, that he’ll headline a UFC card for the first time when he takes on Dustin Poirier at UFC Fight Night 76.
UFC Fight Night 76 takes place at Dublin’s 3Arena on Oct. 24. The entire card streams on UFC Fight Pass.
Duffy (14-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) enters the lightweight bout with Poirier (18-4 MMA, 10-3 UFC) riding a four-fight winning streak. In his two bouts in the UFC he stopped Jake Lindsey and Ivan Jorge in less than five minuted combined.
The UFC released an “On the Fly” video showing Duffy’s preparation for the Poirier bout at Tristar Gym in Canada before he travels to his home country of Ireland to battle in front of a passionate and loyal fanbase.
