Mike Pierce can hold his head a little higher if he beats a wrestler inside the octagon.
Because most likely, he's bested someone with better credentials than he on the mat.
"I never really went all the way with wrestling and got All-American status," Pierce told MMAjunkie.com Radio. "I gave up on it because it was boring me and I wasn't having fun with it anymore."
