DUBLIN – Mike King isn’t feeling the pressure for his official UFC debut, and isn’t feeling any going into the lion’s den, either.

King (5-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) meets Cathal Pendred (13-2-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC), who was a teammate under coach B.J. Penn on Season 19 of “The Ultimate Fighter.” Along with stepping in the octagon for the first time, not counting his time on “TUF,” King fights Pendred today in Pendred’s home city of Dublin.

But that isn’t going to bother him, he said. He believes all the pressure is on Pendred.

“Everyone thinks coming into someone’s hometown is difficult,” King told MMAjunkie. “But for me, there’s no pressure on me. It’s just myself in the cage, and he’s got an entire country putting a lot of pressure on him. There’s a lot of hype behind him right now, so I think that’s going to be something that’s going to weigh heavy on his mind. Me? I’m coming in clear-minded.”

Will he be clear-minded enough for an upset of Pendred, who is a -170 betting favorite?

Check out the video above for more from King ahead of UFC Fight Night 46, which takes place today at The O2 in Dublin. The entire event streams in the U.S. on UFC Fight Pass.
