Video: UFC Fight Night 35 headliner Constantinos Philippou’s first UFC KO

Constantinos Philippou dropped his short-notice UFC debut nearly three years ago, then went on a five-fight run.

But in September, Philippou had that impressive middleweight streak snapped at the hands of Francis Carmont when he dropped a decision at UFC 165.

On Wednesday, Philippou will try to get back in the win column, and he’ll do so in his first UFC main event with plenty of eyeballs on him against former Strikeforce champion Luke Rockhold.

Philippou and Rockhold headline UFC Fight Night 35, which takes place at Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga. The main card airs on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on that channel and UFC Fight Pass.

During Philippou’s five-fight win streak, he had a pair of knockouts. The first of those came in the first round against Jared Hamman at UFC 140 a little more than two years ago.
