After a disappointing performance against Cain Velasquez this past December left him battered, bruised and without his UFC heavyweight title, Junior dos Santos needed a big-time performance in May.

And with a massive spinning heel kick, he got that big-time performance. Mark Hunt was the unlucky recipient in the third round at UFC 160 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and JDS punched his ticket back to a shot at the man he first won the title against – the same man who beat him to win it back at UFC 155.

In less than three weeks, dos Santos and Velasquez meet again with the UFC’s biggest prize on the line. But before that fight, which takes place at UFC 166 at Houston’s Toyota Center, check out how “Cigano” got back to the title shot with his “Fight of the Night” win over Mark Hunt earlier this year.

Then catch him the Oct. 19 main event with dos Santos vs. Velasquez headlining the UFC 166 pay-per-view.
