Longtime friend and current training partner Marina Shafir has followed Ronda Rousey’s footsteps into the world of MMA, and so far, the amateur fighter is posting some familiar results.

This past weekend the veteran judoka moved to 3-0 with a victory over Danielle Mack (0-2) at “Tuff-N-Uff: Mayhem in Mesquite 2? in Mesquite, Nev. Like Rousey, the UFC’s reigning women’s bantamweight champion, all of Shafir’s victories have come via first-round armbar.

The latest one came rather easily. Check out the finish above as MMAjunkie.com’s John Morgan and Tuff-N-Uff vet and lightweight champion Jacob Swinney call the action.

The Moldovan-born Shafir, who soon turns 25, is based out of California. Currently competing at 150 pounds, she plans a move down to 145 pounds before turning pro later this year.

In addition to the Shafir-Mack bout, check out highlights from the A.J. Williams (2-0) vs. Sam Edwards (0-1) welterweight bout below. It ends in brutal fashion.
