The sort-of-retired UFC welterweight Nick Diaz was in attendance at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday to witness Manny Pacquiao reclaim his WBO welterweight title by defeating Timothy Bradley by unanimous decision.  Diaz spoke with The Boxing Channel about Pacquiao’s performance, his fighting plans, and his opinion of the UFC 171 main event between Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler.

Following Diaz’s recent commentary on his UFC contract, it may come as no surprise that he’d like for someone to buy out his UFC contract so he can shift his focus to the sweet science.

Nick and Nate Diaz appear willing to continue their battle with the UFC over fighter pay as long as it takes after both used social media to make their continued complaints clear. Nick Diaz and brother Nate Diaz are in a very unique situation in the modern mixed martial arts world. Where the UFC has failed in creating compelling, high drawing stars, the Diaz brothers--Nick especially--remain "mainstream attractions."
