Back in September, Andrea K. Lee picked up her first pro win in pretty bizarre fashion.
The 25-year-old flyweight, who parlayed the victory into an Invicta FC contract and a successful debut earlier this month, needed just 10 seconds to stop Kim Colbert (0-1) at “GFA 27: The Stage” in Louisiana.
The video, shown in the “Viewer Submissions” segment on this past weekend’s edition of “Inside MMA” on AXS TV, shows Lee (2-0) landing an early kick. Unfortunately, there’d be no further action.
Lee threw a left kick, which Colbert tried to swat away. Unfortunately, her left ring finger snapped in the process, and Lee was forced to halt the bout and show the damage to the ref and signal for the cageside physician.
The bout was then waved off (“Inside MMA” hosts Kenny Rice and Bas Rutten surmised the damaged digit could actually fall off if the fight continued).
Check out the video (at the 1:20 mark) above.
