ABU DHABI – MMAjunkie lead staff reporter John Morgan gives his instant reaction to Friday’s UFC Fight Night 39 main event between heavyweight slugger Roy Nelson and MMA legend Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

In the headliner, Nelson earned a devastating first-round knockout, blasting Nogueira with a crushing right hand that left the Brazilian out cold. The much-needed result also snapped a two-fight losing streak for Nelson.

UFC Fight Night 39 took place at Abu Dhabi’s du Arena, an outdoor venue. The event streamed on UFC Fight Pass.
