Video: Jessica Penne struggling to stay quiet about 'TUF 20'

Jessica Penne went up against 15 of the world’s other top 115-pound female fighters on “The Ultimate Fighter 20,” but one of her biggest struggles has been staying quiet about the show.

Penne (11-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC), a former Invicta FC champion, is one of the early favorites to win “TUF 20,” which debuts Wednesday on FOX Sports 1. For the first time in the long-running reality show’s history, a champion will be crowned as the 16-slot tournament determines the UFC’s inaugural strawweight champion.

Penne, along with the likes of Tecia Torres and Carla Esparza, are some of the more experienced and proven cast members. And though other “TUF” fighters have suggested that the tournament bouts were grueling and more than delivered, Penne told our partners at SHOOTMedia that there are other struggles.

“We were sworn to secrecy, but at the same time, I just want to tell everybody about it,” she said. “Again, I can’t wait to see it. I can’t wait to see how they piece everything together. The girls that I talk to and I are really exciting just to sort of relive it.”

Check out the full video, which includes some of her in-house struggles and the reason for her post-show break from training, above.
