Video: Ireland invades Las Vegas, goes nuts as Conor McGregor and Poirier clash at weigh-ins

LAS VEGAS – If there was any doubt that Conor McGregor is already a bona fide star, or that his native Ireland would travel across the pond to support him, there shouldn’t be any longer.

There was an incredibly strong Irish contingent present at today’s UFC 178 official weigh-ins, which took place at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino’s Premier Ballroom in Las Vegas. Flags wave and chants rung through the venue before the weigh-ins even started, and the revelry reached a fever pitch when the “Notorious” McGregor took the scale.

Featherweight opponent Dustin Poirier followed, and the two predictably clashed when it came time for the ceremonial staredown.
