With a bonus system that rewards knockouts and submissions, Friday’s Victory FC 49 event featured six stoppages in seven total bouts.
The event took place at Baxter Arena in Omaha, Neb., and the entire card streamed on UFC Fight Pass.
In the welterweight headliner, Valdir Araujo (16-6) scored a second-round TKO victory over Dakota Cochrane (23-10), and in a 195-pound catchweight bout that served as the co-headliner, Maki Pitolo (6-2) secured a second-round TKO win over Andrews Nakahara (4-3-2).
However, perhaps the night’s biggest knockout came further down on the card when undefeated bantamweight prospect Raufeon Stots (5-0) blasted William Joplin (13-12) with a head kick and stopped the fight in just 78 seconds.
