Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale Show Official; Pettis vs. Guida Headlines

The UFC has officially announced the “Ultimate Fighter” season 13 finale show taking place in Las Vegas on June 4 with Anthony “Showtime” Pettis taking on Clay Guida in the main event.

Pettis comes to the UFC after a successful WEC career that included the infamous “Showtime kick” to close out his time with the promotion, and leave as the last ever lightweight champion.

Pettis was expected to fight for the UFC lightweight title in his first bout in the Octagon, but a draw between champion Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard forced another fight and so Pettis will stay busy by facing Guida instead.

“Anthony Pettis and Clay Guida both want to prove that they deserve the next shot at the lightweight title,” UFC President Dana White said. “Pettis comes in to the UFC with a lot of hype. He was the last WEC lightweight champion and became a superstar after landing that incredible kick off the cage against Ben Henderson. But this is the toughest fight of his career. Clay Guida is a gritty, in-your-face fighter who has put together a really impressive winning streak. This is a fight I can’t wait to see.”

Also on the card will be the last “Ultimate Fighter” winner Jonathan Brookins as he looks to build on his crown from the last season of the reality show when he faces knockout artist Jeremy Stevens in a lightweight fight.

The other fight announced for the TUF 13 finale show include a bantamweight showdown between Matt Hume student Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson and Brazilian Renan Barao.

Tickets for the event go on sale to UFC Fight Club members on Wed March 23, with general ticket sales beginning on Friday Mar 25. The show will air on Spike TV starting at 9pm ET on June 4.

UPDATE: The UFC has corrected the fight between Johnson and Barao stating it will be taking place at UFC 130, not the TUF 13 finale show.
