PITTSBURGH – UFC on Versus 4 was dealt a serious blow on Saturday when main event fighter Nate Marquardt did not pass medical clearance for his fight and had to be pulled from the fight card.

A heavyweight bout between Pat Barry and Cheick Kongo has been bumped up from its co-main event slot into the headlining position. As heavyweights, both fighters easily passed muster on the scale.

Rick Story was dropped down into the co-main event slot to face AMA fighter Chris Brenneman, who steps in literally at the last minute. Even with the late notice, Brenneman easily made weight.

The preliminary card features two high-profile featherweight bouts, with Tyson Griffin making his first drop down to 145 pounds to face Manny Gamburyan. Joe Stevenson is also making his featherweight debut in a tough bout against Javier Vazquez.

The main card will air live on Versus on Sunday night, while all eight preliminary bouts will stream live on the UFC’s Facebook page.
