Round 1: Howard fires off a leg kick to open things up. A few more exchanges and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. As they separate Brown throws a high kick, but Howard blocks. Brown looking to establish the jab, Howard with the leg kicks. Brown connects with two punches and a head kick before Howard catches a knee to the body and looks for a takedown. As they separate, Brown lands a nice knee that stuns Howard. Brown looks for a D’arce, but can’t land it. Howard comes back with a nice slam takedown, but Brown works back up. Brown again tag Howard, this time with a nice body shot before the rounds ends.

Round 2: Howard comes out and immediately looks for a takedown, but Brown shrugs him off. Brown decides to shoot in this time, but doesn’t land as Howard sprawls out. Now working from the clinch, Howard looks for the single leg but Brown again defends well. Brown this time trips Howard up and takes him down. Brown working from inside Howard’s half guard. Howard gets a leg and as Brown slips away, he gets tripped and Howard lands on top. Brown now working for an omoplata before the round ends.

Round 3: Howard lands a nice leg kick to open the third. Brown shoots in and gets a takedown against the cage. Howard able to work back up and he goes to try and take Brown’s back. Howard moves then to look for a single leg, but Brown again defends. Howard lets go and turns away and Brown chases after him and lands a right hand. Howard jumps back in looking for a takedown and gets it but only for a moment as Brown again gets up. Howard stays tenacious and gets a takedown, looks for a kimura but the fight ends.
