Tom DeBlass and Nick Penner both suffered defeat in their Octagon debuts, but one of them will finally get in the UFC win column when they square off at UFC on Fuel TV 4 on July 11 in San Jose, Calif.
DeBlass confirmed the initial report of the bout by TheScore.com on his personal Twitter account.
DeBlass (7-1), a former Ring of Combat champion, suffered the first defeat of his career at UFC on Fuel TV 2 in Sweden. He’ll be looking to start a new winning streak at UFC on Fuel TV 4 when he steps back into the Octagon.
Penner (11-2) is in much the same situation as DeBlass, having lost to Anthony Perosh at UFC on FX 2. He had been on an eight-fight winning streak prior to that loss, and just like DeBlass is looking at him to get on track, he’s looking at DeBlass to be his rebound fight.
A middleweight contender showdown between Mark Munoz and Chris Weidman headlines the UFC on Fuel TV 4 fight card.
