Round 1:  Silva runs over to Gustafsson to start the fight.  Gustafsson moves on the outside.  Silva closes the distance and gets dropped by an uppercut.  Silva survives.  He gets to his feet but is cut.  Silva moves in with a combination.  Gustafsson is pumping his jab in Silva’s face.  Gustafsson lands a straight right hand.  Silva plows forward and lands a right hand.  Gustafsson lands an uppercut.  Gustafsson delivers an outside leg kick. Silva misses with a looping right hand.  He lands a right hand that backs Gustafsson up.  Silva moves in and lands another shot but Gustafsson circles out.  Silva loading up on right hands but not landing it.  Gustafsson is the more active fighter.  Gustafsson glances a front kick off Silva’s chin.  The round ends.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Gustafsson.

Round 3:  Gustafsson moves in with a combination and moves out before Silva can counter.  Gustafsson lands a front kick to the body of Silva.  Silva lands a right hand.  Gustafsson circles on the outside while Silva moves straight forward.  Gustafsson clinches and lands a knee before separating.  The pace picks up a bit.  Silva lands three outside leg kicks.  Two minutes remain and they’re in the center of the Octagon.  Gustafsson is dictating the action.  Silva isn’t mounting much offense.  Gustafsson lands a knee and a right hand.  Gustafsson lands an uppercut.  Silva moves in throwing bombs.  The bell sounds ending the fight.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Gustafsson.

Thiago Silva has found a landing spot for his post-UFC career, and it's a familiar one for the Brazilian.
