11, 573 fans attended the 11-fight card at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, Calif., resulting in a live gate totaling $1,066,610.

Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson defended his title in the main event by becoming the first fighter to knockout Joseph Benavidez. The two had previously fought for the inaugural UFC flyweight championship at UFC 152 in September 2012 with Johnson winning the belt by split decision. This time around, the end came at the 2:08 mark in the opening round when Johnson landed a thunderous right hand that knocked Benavidez out.

Former featherweight champion Urijah Faber defeated Michael McDonald in the co-main event of the evening by submission in the second round. The 34-year-old fighter has never lost a non-title fight in his 10-year career.

Chad Mendes may have solidified his featherweight contender status with a unanimous decision victory over Nik Lentz in other main card action while Joe Lauzon put in a dominating performance over The Ultimate Fighter season 6 winner Mac Danzig.
