Erik Koch vs. Ricardo Lamas
Round 1: The two fighters touch gloves and the UFC on FOX 6 main card is underway. Koch takes the center of the cage. Lamas misses with a high kick. They exchange leg kicks. Koch fires off a head kick that’s blocked. Koch moves forward. Lamas drives forward for a takedown. He gets it but only for a second. Koch immediately gets back to his feet. Lamas presses him against the cage and works for a single leg takedown. Koch defends it. They work for position along the fence. Lamas fights for a takedown but can’t secure it. They separate. Koch lands a straight right hand. Lamas closes the distance with a combination and presses Koch against the cage. Lamas secures a single leg takedown, but Koch quickly gets back to his feet. The round ends with Koch landing to the body inside the clinch. MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Lamas.
Round 2: Koch lands a nice left hand to start the round. Lamas delivers an outside leg kick. Koch working his jab. He mixes in a leg kick. They clinch. Koch presses Lamas against the cage and then backs away. Koch steps in with a jab. Lamas slips and Koch tries to capitalize but Lamas gains top position. Lamas stands and lands a right hand followed by an elbow. Lamas stacks Koch and lands big shots. Koch is cut. Lamas opens up with punches and big elbows. The referee steps in to stop it. Lamas wins by TKO.
